Talking plastic eggs put fun spin on Easter hunts

April 7, 2009
Why hadn't anyone thought these up before?

Electronic Hide 'Em and Find 'Em Eggs call out phrases such as "I'm over here!" for a half-hour or until they're found. When egg hunters find one and unscrew the top, it says, "You found me!" and reveals a plastic chick or bunny inside.
They're also great for blind children, according to braillegifts.com.
The Feb. 20 episode of ABC's "The View" mentioned the eggs, which apparently caused a Tickle Me Elmo-style flood of parents desperately seeking them on the Web.
They're sold at Target and Wal-Mart, about $15 for four or $5 for one.
