Also, to clear up some rumors...

On the girl-detective tip, we've been looking into that anything-but-official report that Zanessa are no more. Unfortunately, we do not have a final answer yet, but here are the clues we examined...if you really don't care or don't like Zac, Vanessa or Zanessa, you'll wanna skip this blog!

That first rumor about Zac and Vanessa breaking up in Hawaii was made up. As we all know, they were very much together throughout that trip and held hands at the MTV Movie Awards.

The rumor that they broke up in Orlando on June 6th is difficult to swallow...if nothing else, it's partly wrong. First, no one can confirm that Zac and/or Vanessa were even in Orlando on that day. The story, which was written in a tabloid that Us Weekly says is notorious for completely making up stories, specifies that Zac and Vanessa flew to Orlando to be with other HSM cast members...but we have verified that Ashley, Monique and Corbin were not in Orlando on that day. So that part of the story is false.

The next piece of evidence is that Zac did NOT accompany Vanessa to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS event this past weekend, which he did last year. This would make sense if they were not dating.

Finally, there is a picture circulating (most prominently at zefron, and it is pictured above) showing Zac and Vanessa together. Fans have pointed out that he is wearing the same outfit he wore at a recent TeeNick taping, so the possibility is that he and Vanessa were together for a meal (he has a fork in his hand) that same day...which would mean they are still dating. Further, the original picture file, according to our computer program, is dated on the morning of June 8th. That would show them together as a couple AFTER they supposedly broke up June 6th.

However, we now have confirmation that the TeeNick taping happened June 13th (and Zac's segment, with Amanda Bynes, was supposed to air today OR July 15th). So that means the photo is either old, or that it was taken June 8th and Zac recycled his cute outfit, or that the camera's time stamp is fake/unreliable. Back to where we started!

One more thing to chew on: According to an eyewitness, during the TeeNick taping, Zac smiled whenever the name "Vanessa" was mentioned in regards to another Vanessa, and the small studio audience cheered. If Zac was recently broken up from Vanessa, the smiles would seem out of place.

VERDICT: You know you can rely on us for the truth. The truth this time is that we don't have confirmation either way yet, but that we are unwilling to believe the tabloid rumor until we get more proof. Notice that EVERY source on the Internet saying they broke up is using that one story as the evidence...and we already know parts of that story are not correct...so maybe it's wrong. We hope to be able to ask Vanessa this weekend. Stay glued to our MySpace...we'll do our best!

Vanessa Speaks: "I'm doing good!"

Just because we are in a breaking-news-type pattern with all things Zanessa, we just wanted to post this preliminary report from our meeting with Vanessa today at 12:30PM EST: She's glowingly gorgeous and seems totally happy! One question we asked was along the lines of how fans always want to know about relationships and love, and is she doing well in that area? She smiled huge and was like: "Yes! I'm doing good!"

It's not direct, but her tone and the vibe we got was not like someone who just broke up in some pretend car in Orlando.

More soon. Also, we gave her a necklace that was a symbol of all the gifts all her fans would like to be able to give her. It's a cute musical-note necklace...we'll show you in the mag in a future issue.
